AeroZone-Technical Services

AeroZone would also provide specialized infrastructure and facilities for providing various technical services such as component testing laboratories to Airlines. These facilities would primarily be developed by HAMCO. Some of the facilities which are envisaged in the technical services are hydrostatic testing facilities, Design assistance center (to help aircraft manufacturers and component manufacturers test parts under development) etc.

In addition an aircraft recovery systems unit will be housed in this section, which will have equipment such as inflatable bags & pump system which is used to lift the aircraft if it swerves off runway or in landing gear collapse situations. The incident involving Air-Sahara in Mumbai could have been dealt with quickly, had such equipment and expertise been available.
